About

Discover a horticultural oasis in the very heart of dairying country - a passionate plantsman's garden and Taranaki showcase.

Hollard Gardens is the achievement of a lifetime's work by the late Bernie and Rose Hollard. It is a monument to patience and horticultural skill. It features intimate gardens, hidden paths, expansive lawns and swamp gardens, an events pavilion, children's play area, barbecues and a gazebo.

The Hollard Centre was officially opened in 2013, a contemporary design with large open views over the gardens and available for functions and events. Hollard Gardens is owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council on behalf of the people of the region. It is open all day, every day and entry is free.
