Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland: Rotorua New Zealand Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland which is renowned for being New Zealand’s Most Colourful Geothermal area has been named in the “20 Most Surreal Places you need to see to believe” by the worlds largest travel site Trip Advisor. This was a huge honour for Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland considering who the other surreal places were. When you look at the share beauty of the likes of The Great Blue Whole in Belize, Stone Forrest in China, or the Pamukkale Thermal Pools in Turkey, you know you are keeping very good company, with it an absolute privilege to be acknowledged alongside these other global landmarks.
We believe this is not only an achievement for Wai-O-Tapu, but for Rotorua and New Zealand as a whole. With Trip Advisor being the largest, most trusted travel community in the world, which offers a platform for travellers to write reviews on their experiences, it is great that some of New Zealand’s unique natural beauty has been recognised as on par with some of the most surreal places in the world.
Myself and the rest of my team here at Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland were delighted to hear that Wai-O-Tapu had been named in this category but not too surprised. New Zealand is an extremely beautiful country with a lot to offer, we enjoy a varied landscape and dramatic geological features; from cascading glaciers, to active volcanoes for instance, from which we are very proud of. My employees take a lot of pride and satisfaction in preserving the scenic reserve of Wai-O-Tapu, while allowing visitors from all over the world to experience it. This stems from our company mission statement; we are but caretakers of this unique part of the world.
This announcement comes shortly after Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland was awarded Trip Advisors Certificate of Excellence for overall visitor satisfaction and experience. Below is the URL for the announcement made by Trip Advisor http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/TripNews-a_ctr.surrealplacesEN
