Jaw-dropping scenery and fun on the slopes await visitors to Queenstown during this 5-day skiing itinerary.
Explore Queenstown’s closest ski field, Coronet Peak and take a spin under the stars during night skiing. Enjoy the expansive mountain range that is The Remarkables, sitting proudly above Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. Then take a break from the slopes and discover some of the other amazing activities Queenstown has to offer.
You’ll be mesmerised as your plane descends between the sky-piercing Alps and lands at New Zealand’s most picturesque airport, only a few minutes' drive into the heart of Queenstown.
Spend your day exploring central Queenstown and preparing for your ski adventure. A great way to see this beautiful alpine town is with a trip up Bob's Peak in the Skyline Gondola.
Start your ski adventure on The Remarkables' amazing ski slopes. The 1.2km new Curvy Basin chairlift will whisk you to the top of the mountain, even if you’re just starting out. If you’re a complete novice, the sun-drenched learners’ area is the perfect place. Fancy venturing further afield? There are backcountry runs and black diamond runs to challenge the most accomplished skiers or riders. There are some awesome snow terrain parks to check out too.
After a day on the slopes, there is nothing better than soaking in a hot spa or enjoying a therapeutic massage before hitting the town for the evening.
Spend day three checking out Coronet Peak, the closest ski field to Queenstown (just 25 minutes drive). Here you can ski literally from dawn to dusk and it's also the place for night skiing. Watch the pristine afternoon sky transform itself into glorious hues of pink before the sun sets and the night lights come on. Park after Dark has freestyle runs with boxes, rails and airbags. Dine on the deck and enjoy the evening atmosphere.
Day four, the choice is yours; take your pick of Coronet Peak or The Remarkables.
