Experience the thrill of the open road as you travel through the beautiful Canterbury landscape on a Harley Davidson motorbike. Head out to Banks Peninsula to discover the picturesque bays and communities or travel inland to the vast Canterbury Plains.

Arthurs Pass

Arthur's Pass is the highest route through the Southern Alps, connecting the vast Canterbury plains in the east with the wild and rugged West Coast. The National Park itself is a popular spot with hikers, offering long and short walks. Head out to the magnificent Devil’s Punchbowl Falls for a nice day-walk.

Stargazing at Lake Tekapo

Far from the city lights, Lake Tekapo has the some of the darkest skies in New Zealand. That's why it is part of the the largest Dark Sky Reserve in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the best places on the planet for stargazing. Spend the night being dazzled by the lights of the southern skies.

Akaroa

Unique heritage meets wildlife in Akaroa, making it a must for history and nature lovers alike. Discover historic cottages and fine French cuisine before heading out on a harbour cruise to meet the region's abundant marine life, including the smallest dolphins in the world - the Hectors.

Tasman Glacier

At 27 kilometres in length, the mighty Tasman Glacier is New Zealand’s largest. Travel onto the terminal lake, where you can touch the giant cathedral shaped icebergs or take a helicopter and step out onto the ice itself to gaze in awe at the immense power of this natural phenomenon.

TranzAlpine railway journey

The TranzAlpine is one of the world's most scenic rail journeys. Travelling from Christchurch to Greymouth it cuts across the patchwork Canterbury Plains and through the Southern Alps via Arthur's Pass Park National Park, taking in some of New Zealand's most stunning landscapes along the way.
