Bethells Beach, Auckland

The Te Henga Walkway, between Bethells and Muriwai, is part of the Hillary Trail, which connects a number of existing tracks in the Waitakere Ranges.  It is a great option if you’re looking for some solitude and fresh ocean air.

The track heads in the direction of the ocean, ascending cliff tops at times. Parts are narrow and steep so it’s best to walk the track in dry weather. There are boardwalks and bridges in over wet/muddy areas.
