We head off at about 10.30am on our luxury bus from central Auckland, stopping at Albany en route, and start the day with some axe throwing instruction at Action Matakana's outdoor venue, then have a bit of light-hearted competition with our new skill. Next, we get along to one of NZ's best craft brewers - 8 Wired, and listen to how their operation runs and their specialties over a tasting, then sample from a paddle of their range. We then go to our hidden secret - a US style slow-cooked BBQ venue for lunch, and it's unlimited! Sawmill Brewery is next to learn their story and sample another tasting flight from their extensive and curated range of fine craft beer. Early evening we head home on the bus back via Albany to central Auckland.
