Day 1. Arrive Auckland
Be met and transferred to your hotel, which is centrally located in the beautiful harbourside city of Auckland, ’The City of Sails’.

Day 2. Auckland, Bay of Islands
Journey north to the Waipoua Kauri Forest Reserve. Here, you’ll take a short walk to the giant Kauri tree, Tãne Mahuta or ‘Lord of the Forest’, the largest Kauri tree to still stand. Then continue to the stunning Bay of Islands. This area symbolises the birthplace of the nation with the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840. After settling in, enjoy a Welcome Dinner.

Day 3. Bay of Islands
The Bay of Islands is home to 144 islands, providing a stunning aquatic playground off the north coast of the North Island. Today following breakfast you’ll enjoy a full day at leisure to explore the idyllic subtropical surrounds. Perhaps relax on a pristine beach, explore the wilderness areas via one of the many walking tracks, or set off into town and sample a local restaurant. B
Day 4. Bay of Islands, Auckland
Like a Local - explore New Zealand’s finest maritime park on a cruise to Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock. This coastline provides sheltered waters for dolphins, whales, seals, penguins and other marine life, so keep a look out. Continue to the Hole in the Rock, a distinctive sandstone arch formation (weather permitting). Later, return to Auckland by coach.

Day 5. Auckland, Waitomo, Rotorua
Travel to the Waitomo glowworm caves. Like a Local - discover the magical natural spectacle of Waitomo Caves with a local guide before continuing to Rotorua. Visit Te Puia and enjoy a tour of the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. Then head over to the Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley. A Taste of New Zealand - later, at Te Puia, enjoy a Maori Hangi Feast with song and dance.

Day 6. Rotorua
A Taste of New Zealand - for an extraordinary start to your day, enjoy a buffet breakfast aboard the Lakeland Queen as you cruise over the still blue waters of Lake Rotorua. Day 7. Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington
Meander along the Thermal Explorer Highway to Lake Taupo and thundering Huka Falls with its striking blue water. Later, travel south across the vast volcanic plateau of World Heritage-listed Tongariro National Park en route to Wellington.

Day 8. Wellington, Cook Strait, Ashburton
Like a Local - enjoy a scenic voyage as the Interislander ferry traverses the Cook Strait through the breathtaking Marlborough and Queen Charlotte Sounds. Once in Picton, enjoy a spectacular scenic drive as you continue to Kaikoura and on to Ashburton.

Day 9. Ashburton, Fox Glacier
Today, ascend into the Main Divide and journey through the Southern Alps. Continue along the coast to Westland National Park and see Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. Over thousands of years, these remarkable natural wonders have created immense glacial valleys.

Day 10. Fox Glacier, Queenstown
Travel across the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps through spectacular Haast Pass, skirting the tranquil shores of lakes Wanaka and Hawea to Queenstown. Special Stay - enjoy a two-night stay with the dramatic backdrop of towering mountains overlooking the calm blue waters of Lake Wakatipu.

Like a Local - cruise the full length of Milford Sound, a magnificent fiord with views of cascading waterfalls, dense rainforest, sheer cliffs and the surrounding mountains of this World Heritage-listed area.
