Price is per boat for five days. Other charges, extra days, fuel as, optional insurance bond for self-sail days, linen if required
Update and expand your fundamental sailing skills. Spend two days with your instructor to increase your competence and confidence, then cast off by yourselves to implement and cement your learning, build your sea miles, and enjoy exploring the beautiful Bay of Islands. Everyone aboard gains expertise so they can enjoy and fully participate in the sailing adventure. This is an intermediate level course. A sailing qualification, or acceptable experience is required. Cancellations 30 or more days prior to commencement of sailing holiday; deposit refunded less $250 administration fee. Cancellations within 30 days of commencement of sailing holiday; deposit retained by Great Escape with the balance retained unless the dates can be resold.
Perfect for those with some boating or sailing experience ready to step up to skippering their own boat. Designed for couples, groups of friends, and families. This adventure is available in either a Davidson 20, Noelex 25 or a Noelex 30. The training content will be tailored to the experience of those aboard. On days one and two you are out with your instructor. On days three to five, it’s time to set sail by yourself, explore the wonderful Bay of Islands, and practice your new sailing skills. Before you cast off we discuss your passage planning, review navigation in the Bay of Islands, give you updated weather forecast information, guide you on suitable anchorages, and points of interest for the following days.
