If you are looking for an uncrowded ski experience which is child friendly then Mt Lyford is your destination. The north facing slopes make this ski field the 'warmest' in NZ. It's suitable for all levels with a fantastic leaners area and a toboggan luge. Of course you want to stay as close by as you can so accommodation in Mt Lyford village is the choice. The eco lodges offer warm and cozy accommodation with 3 bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. You are renting a complete holiday house for your group. A private woodfired hot tub on your patio (note extra charge) is exactly what the body likes after a day on the slopes. You also have the option of booking a private sauna. This is the place for snow, log fire, hot tubs and mulled wine.
