Hanmer Springs has a multitude of trials for short of day walks to explore the beautiful scenery of the area.
Hanmer Heritage Forest: Explore the variety of trees found in Heritage Forest which cover the 5,150 hectares.
The beautiful changing colours of the trees in the spring and autumn are some of the best times to explore the area.
Walk through the Hanmer Heritage Forest on the 50 km of trails on the Forest Walk (1 hour walk), Forest Journey (1.25 hour walk) or Forest Amble (.5 hour walk) trails.
Conical Hill Walk: One of Hanmer Springs’ most popular walks will take you to view panoramic view of Hanmer Basin on the one hour walk.
Mt Isobel Walk: Start your journey from the Clarence Valley Road car park for beautiful views over the Hanmer Basin. The journey will take about 6 hours to complete.
Throughout Hanmer Springs Villageyou can hire bikes and safety gear for your journey if you don’t bring your own equipment.

Dog Stream/Jolliffe Saddle Track: Start with an easy ride along the stream before you hit Jollies Pass Road onto the Jolliffe Saddle Track. The next part of the ride is steep climb to the Red Rock Track and then to Pawsons Road. The total ride time is about an hour.
Tank Track/Yankee Zephyr: Journey through town to Jacks Pass Road to Clarence River Road. You will head through the forest on the Tank Track and then head to Pawsons Road to the Yankee Zephyr to navigate through more forest for some amazing views. Total ride time is about 40 minutes.
