Canopy Camping Escapes - The Hexagon

The Hexagon is an atmospheric, off-the-grid rustic hut, built by an astrologer over 30 years ago. Just ten minutes from the famous 'Pancake Rocks', The Hexagon is the perfect place to stop and rest on your way up or down the wild West Coast.

Per night

On the West Coast of the South Island, half-way between Westport and Greymouth, you'll find the 'The Hexagon' - a tranquil retreat steeped in a history almost as unusual as its structure.

Native timber planks line the walls and ceiling. Hand-made stained glass windows and offer stunning views of the ocean, coastline and bush surrounds. A simple log stove keeps you warm, and solar power gives you light at the flick of a switch.

Privacy is guaranteed, with access to the hut only via foot, a twelve minute walk up a track from the roadside below. Guest's gear is transported on a quad bike bike by your host.

Enjoy a hot outdoor shower in the brisk morning air or soak for hours under the stars in a fire bath. You won't ever want to leave.
