Bookings are essential and subject to availability / confirmation. Booking fees may apply. Participants must arrive 30 minutes before the tour. Tours depart at 11.30am and 1.00pm daily. Minimum age requirement is 8 years. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by someone 14 years or older (booked and paid) during the Backstage Experience. Contact us prior to booking if you have accessibility needs or limited mobility, as stairs are involved in this experience. Closed Christmas Day.

This exclusive tour gives you the chance to see up close, all the fascinating work done ‘backstage’ in our penguin habitat and penguin welfare centre. Limited to just 6 participants, this exclusive tour grants backstage access to areas typically off-limits to other guests. Guided by our knowledgeable Antarctic Guides or dedicated Penguin Keepers, you'll embark on a captivating 40-minute journey delving into the daily routines of a Penguin Keeper and gaining insights into the lives of our charming penguin residents. Your Penguin Backstage Experience includes a General Admission entry ticket. Bookings are essential. $99 per person. Ages 8+.
