Caregivers are free.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Caregivers are free of charge on the workshop. Our tours frequently sell out, particularly during peak season (Oct-April). We strongly recommend booking in advance online. Photography is strictly prohibited whilst in our tour spaces. On-street parking is free but can get busy. Please allow ample time to find a parking space.

Designed for kids who love to craft, this engaging workshop introduces the art of working with leather. Children will learn simple techniques employed by Wētā Workshop's costume crew as you refine, design and dye your very own leather keepsake. We invite young makers to step into the world of handcrafted costume design and discover the art of leatherwork in our hands-on workshop. Craft side-by-side with our crew learning techniques that bring costume accessories to life on screen. With easy-to-follow techniques and all materials provided, children will get to explore their creativity while learning real leatherwork skills - and then take their creation home. No experience needed, just imagination and a willingness to get hands-on.
