Hollie, our local Akaroa Marketing Manager decided to have a go at swimming with dolphins in a dry suit. The dry suit is a world first for dolphin swimming and offered as an alternative to the wetsuit in the colder winter months from May to September.
Akaroa is just a 90 minute drive from Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand. The hector dolphin is one of the world's rarest and is also the smallest of the dolphin species.
They are only found in NZ and Akaroa is the only place on the entire planet where you can swim with them on a regular basis.
Our success rate is around 85% to swim with them. if you do not see dolphins at all you will receive 75% of your money back. I think you will agree this is a very generous refund policy.
Just make sure you wear warm clothing for underneath, lots of layers and also some warm woollen socks.
