Our names are Fawna, Allison, and Ray... three individuals as different as the states that we live in (Maryland, Kentucky and California). The common thread bringing us together is that we are all at confusing crossroads in our lives: being forced to figure out what to do with our lives after graduating from college.
In June 2008, we set off on a life-altering adventure across the Pacific and plunged into the culture and customs of New Zealand, in hope of defining our paths in life. Starting in Auckland, we traveled across the country connecting with unconventional individuals who have followed their own passions in life and used these passions as a guide to define their own roads.

Fawna, Allison, and Ray
Ever since we were young, we have thrived on family road trips. We could barely tolerate each other in the comforts of our own home, but when we were all squeezed in the back of dad's Corolla somehow the excitement of the road ahead united us and we knew that we were on this mission together. Those years on the road, seeking adventure, have seemingly made a deeper impact one us than we could have ever imagined at the time. We are constantly in search of the unknown, the inspiring, and the intriguing.
Now we've all grown up. Matt finished school 6 years ago and moved to New York, where he works as a documentary filmmaker. Brent, the middle brother, is now a high school Literature teacher. His daily bread is to inspire today's youth to seek out new experiences and to learn from the experiences of others. Eric, the youngest, recently graduated from college and for him, the road trip was just the beginning...
We were inspired by those we meet along the way in New Zealand, but also inspired each other, teaching each other lessons learned over time and remember lessons forgotten with age.
In April 2008, both of us graduated from college with very open futures. This roadtrip not only give us a chance to have one last adventure, but have this adventure be with a purpose. We weren't just looking for what we'd like to do with our lives, but, through our experiences and interviews on the trip, we hope we were able to also urge others in our position to find and follow their own callings, whatever they may be. Both of us having watched Roadtrip Nation were personally inspired by the journeys previous roadtrippers have had. New Zealand was a country that neither of us have ever visited. The cultural difference we encountered allowed us to see routes possible in our lives that we had never considered.
