QUALITY ASSURANCE
Look for the Qualmark®, New Zealand tourism's official mark of quality.

Sip wine at a lake's edge vineyard. Spend a day or three fishing one of the river valleys. Up the ante with a dose of adventure - canyoning, climbing, river surfing or sky diving. Ski your heart out all winter long or idle the summer days away swimming, café cruising and day dreaming.

Seasonal Tips

DURING YOUR VISIT

Summer is the perfect time to explore the lakes and islands that make up Lakes Wanaka and Hawea. On a scenic cruise you can visit the wildlife islands where weka (a native woodhen) have recently been reintroduced. Charter a boat, hire some fishing gear and go hunting for trout and salmon. Walk one of the beautiful valleys in Mount Aspiring National Park. Find a nice spot by the lake, spread your picnic rug and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
