The draw has officially been released with 48 pool matches to be played from Friday 9 September to Sunday 23 October, 2011. The first game will be played at Eden Park in Auckland where New Zealand will face Tonga in a Pool A match. The matches will be spread throughout 13 different venues throughout New Zealand – Auckland, North Shore (Auckland), Whangarei, Hamilton, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.
The two quarter-finals will be held in Christchurch and Wellington. The Bronze Final will take place on Friday October 21 at Eden Park, followed by the Final on Sunday October 23 also at Eden Park.
