Taste of Northland, Added Value

This itinerary is designed to introduce you to the beautiful wine region of Matakana, also known for its arts and sculpture trail. This is followed by a few nights in the renowned Bay of Islands, finishing up with a stay on the much less explored Kauri Coast. By incorporating a complimentary dinner, an exclusive accommodation rate, a bottle of local wine and a complimentary local tour we are able to offer a saving of £70 over the course of the itinerary.

Day 1: Pick up a hire car in Auckland and make your way north to the Matakana wine region. Enjoy two nights at the stunning Ridge Luxury Country Lodge, with a complimentary dinner included tonight.
Day 2: A day to explore Matakana, its wineries, galleries and cafes, as well as the beautiful coastline.
Day 3: Continue your journey north to Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands region. Enjoy three nights here to relax and explore. A bottle of local wine is included here for you to sample.
Day 4: A day to explore the bay and its many highlights.
Day 5: A further day to explore.
Day 6: Drive over to the western coast of the peninsula to visit the more remote but no less beautiful Kauri Coast. Stay two nights at the historic Waipoua Lodge.
Day 7: A complimentary dawn tour is included this morning to hear the call of the kokako in its native environment.
Day 8: Return to Auckland via the rugged west coast route.
