Over seven and a half thousand people have visited Tourism New Zealand’s Rugby Ball venue in London.

The Giant Inflatable Rugby Ball was dismantled on Wednesday 3rd December after being installed in the high profile Potterfields Park by the London Tower Bridge.

Housing a spectacular audio visual display which encompassed the ceiling and sides of the ball, this innovative experience took you on a journey through New Zealand showing the landscape, activities, cities, and industries.

The appearance of the Ball was timed to coincide with the All Blacks Grand Slam Tour of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and was up for one week from 25 November through to 2 December 2008.

In that time the venue has been visited by HRH The Queen, Prince Phillip, Mayor of London Boris Johnson and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key. As well as the entire All Blacks touring squad and captain and coaches of 2011 Rugby World Cup teams. A number of functions were also hosted there including the world-wide televised International Rugby Board (IRB) pool draw.
