About

Start your visit at Huakaiwaka Visitor Centre to enjoy the café, seasonal displays, exhibitions, garden information, friendly staff and panoramic views. Then head out into our beautiful gardens.

Explore gardens that will delight, inspire, entertain and relax your senses. Stroll collections of natives and exotics in a gentle landscape dotted with lakes and full of variety. Visit the award winning Potter Children’s Garden, see some of our rarest native plants, and enjoy our collection of large scale outdoor sculpture. Every second summer we host the hugely popular Sculpture in the Gardens, featuring works from New Zealand's finest artists (next outing is in 2021/22).
