Nikau Cave is less than 90 minutes drive southwest of Auckland, and has thousands of glowworms and amazing formations, but no crowds.
A tour through Nikau Cave is personal and unhurried. The cave is one kilometre long, has a stream running through it and is in its natural state. Most of the cave is open and spacious except for a 12 metre length, which must be crawled through.
We provide you with a helmet and a caving light. A moderate level of fitness is required and you should bring a change of clothes and shoes with good tread.
A beautiful café provides the ideal place to start and finish tours, designed to showcase the stunning landscape. The menu offers a range of fresh and locally produced dishes and drinks.
