Paragliding is a blend of hang-gliding and parachuting. Sometimes you’re flying, sometimes you’re floating - it’s a feeling that’s exciting, peaceful and a little scary all at the same time.

How you approach your paragliding experience depends on whether you’re looking for a one-off thrill or want to become a pilot.

A tandem paraglide puts you in the capable hands of a professional paragliding pilot. It’s lets you experience the thrill of free flying without going through a lengthy learning process. There are almost no age or size limits for tandem paragliding.

If you want to learn how to paraglide, there are several schools around the country. On average it takes 10 flyable days to complete the training. Each training session is fully briefed beforehand and instructors remain in radio contact with you during your flight.

Queenstown has the most paragliding operators in the country. The landscape is beautifully suited to soaring.
