Less than an hour north of Auckland in the heart of Matakana Coast Wine Country, Ascension Wine Estate is a small, family owned winery.

Specializing in stunning yet seldom seen varietals such as Viognier, Flora, Malbec & Pinotage, Ascension also crafts small quantities of vibrant Sauvignon Blanc and rich Merlot.

Ascension's award-winning Oak Grill Bistro serves only the freshest local ingredients, including heirloom herbs and vegetables picked daily from the large spray-free kitchen gardens.

Open for wine tasting daily

Oak Grill Bistro open most days for lunch, and most weekends for dinner.
