Winter@waipu is a festival of events in Waipu over the winter season, showcasing what Waipu and the subtropical north has to offer as a winter destination.

Events on the calendar include caving, Scottish Country Dancing, local market days, top golfing tournaments, poetry and drama events, an open day on a local marae. Waipu offers a variety of top quality accommodation - from family cabins to luxury lodges and everything in between. Waipu - the Celtic heart of Bream Bay has a strong Scottish heritage; the sign as you enter the village says: Ceud Mile Failte: A hundred thousand welcomes. Come and visit, a warm welcome awaits you.
