Challenge Wanaka
17 Jan 2009

Challenge Wanaka
Challenge Wanaka, the world’s most scenic long distance triathlon, is set against the lake and mountain backdrop of Mount Aspiring National Park in New Zealand’s South Island.

The race attracts top professional athletes from around the world to take on the stunning 226km course which features a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and 42.2km run. The finish line is in the heart of the Lake Wanaka township and in true ‘Challenge’ style, there’s a fun finish line party with fireworks to welcome the athletes home into the night.

The event is open to both individuals and teams making iron distance racing accessible to more athletes and is the perfect way to compete with fellow club members or friends.
