New Zealand World Cyber Games 2008
Founded in 2000 and credited with launching the professional careers of many of the planets top video game players, the World Cyber Games uses a yearlong tournament format, using online, regional and national competitions in each country.

The WCG Grand Finals, also known as the Olympics of video gaming, provides a variety of exhibitions and cultural events enjoyed by thousands of spectators.

The National New Zealand Final is a nonstop 52 hour event, with over 15 tournaments winners from selected tournaments will be representing New Zealand at the PAN Asia Championships in Singapore in August and some will also represent New Zealand on the world stage at the Grand Final in Cologne, Germany in November.
