New Zealand Masters Games
The New Zealand Masters Games are the largest multi-sport event in New Zealand and once again Dunedin is expecting over 7,000 competitors and their supporters. This year it is our 21st NZ Masters Games and our ambassadors, this year, are Dick Tayler and Sir Colin Meads. With around eighty sporting activities offered, these Games should prove, yet again, to be the biggest New Zealand Masters Games.

The Games are for all sports people. The qualifying age varies from sport to sport but generally starts at 30.

There's a great tradition in New Zealand of celebrating 21st birthdays - the coming of age party. We're not sure if 'coming of age' is an appropriate motif for the Masters' Games - but it is cause for celebration when Dunedin hosts the 21st anniversary of the NZ Masters Games in 2010 - and boy, do we know how to throw a party in Dunedin!
