Rotorua International Trout Fishing Tournament
A fun family oriented weekend tournament with over $15000 worth of prizes to be won. The 2009 Tournament is a TWO day Tournament (not three days as in previous years). First time entrants are welcome. There will be information and assistance available from Eastern Region Fish and Game at the Tournament for those new to trout fishing.

Every entrant will receive a copy of the Kilwell Guide to Jigging, Harling and Trolling for Trout and a $20 voucher for trolling lures and accessories, redeemable when purchasing a Kilwell Xtreme Freshwater Trolling Combo, value $149.99, from Hunting and Fishing Rotorua Store.

Competitors fish during the day, returning to the Tournament Headquarters at Arawa Park Function Centre, Fenton Street, Rotorua each night to weigh-in and socialize. Quick fire raffles and lucky spot prizes are conducted throughout the evenings and daily prizes are presented for best catches of the day, including heaviest trout caught by a junior (under 16 years). All juniors receive a prize at the final prizegiving. The winner of the Heaviest Rainbow Trout will receive Yamaha Hi-Fi Sound System worth $3000 and Mounting of the Winning Trout worth $700.
