Private courses available with a 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 guide-client ratio. Otherwise courses are limited to 4 participants per guide.

Alpine Recreation offers beginner to advanced courses and ascents for aspiring climbers. Want to climb one of our 3000m peaks? Start off with a taste of mountaineering on the 3-day Ball Pass Trek, where you'll learn how to use crampons and ice-axe, or go straight for a 5-day or 7-day climbing course at Caroline Hut, the only private mountain hut in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. Prices include equipment and all food and heli access is not needed, so that makes our courses even cheaper.
