After crossing the pristine Lake Rotoiti, under the striking gaze of Mt Pourangahau / Mt Robert, by water taxi, head along the main valley track for an hour's walk before heading off-track and uphill for a further 45 minutes to the top of the canyon. This walk leads through beautiful lush, untouched native bush and beech tree forest. Arriving at the exhilarating Greywacke Canyon, you will do back-to-back spectacular abseils in this enclosed and impressive canyon guaranteed to get your heart pumping. This full-day experience is the perfect-advanced expedition for those adventurous types who have previous canyoning experience, or a solid outdoor adventure background.
