Our guided studio tour is $45pp (Adult/Children). Children under 3 are free. Family rates available.
Tour Price $45.00 (Adults & Children). Infants (0-2 years) are free of charge. 10.00 am, daily. Allow 40 minutes for the whole experience. Limited spaces are available and bookings are highly recommended. Please arrive at our carving studio 5 minutes before your tour departure time. Tours are not available on New Zealand Public Holidays. We are wheelchair and stroller/pram accessible.

Inside our working carving studio, Māori artists shape genuine pounamu by hand, following a craft grounded in generations of knowledge, patience and dedication. Step behind the scenes for an intimate experience with our artists and see the carving process unfold before you. Watch live demonstrations, get up close to the tools and techniques used to shape the stone, and spend time with our carvers as they share the stories behind their craft. You can even try your hand at traditional pounamu carving, gaining a hands-on appreciation for the skill and patience required to work this treasured stone.
