Auckland International Airport is the country's largest and busiest airport, connecting with a large number of international and domestic destinations.
New Zealand's largest and busiest airport has one terminal building for international flights and another for domestic flights, with a free shuttle between the two.
All major airlines serving New Zealand fly into Auckland Airport. Auckland is also well connected to the rest of the country with domestic flights operated by Air New Zealand, Jetstar and other providers.
The airport is located 20km south of the city centre, in the suburb of Mangere.
Inter-terminal bus service
A free bus runs between the international and domestic terminals from 5am to 10.30pm daily. There is also a walkway between the international and domestic terminals, which takes approximately 10 minutes.

A shuttle is a cost effective way to travel into the city. Discounts apply if two or more people are travelling together - approximately $8 per additional person. Shuttles are normally shared with other passenger groups. The shuttle’s travelling time depends on traffic conditions and the number of drop-offs or pick-ups along the way. Allow plenty of time to reach the airport for departing flights.

The journey between the airport and the central city can take considerably longer during peak traffic periods. If you’re travelling to the airport by taxi, make sure you allow plenty of time. Taxis licensed to operate from the airport carry a value and service guarantee.
