How to find halal food options in New Zealand?

The Tourism New Zealand Halal Guide, developed in partnership with Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ) and Kiwi Muslim Directory gives an overview of halal options available around the country.

The listings in this guide have been classified into three categories – Halal Outlets certified by FIANZ, Halal Outlets owned by Muslims (owners of these outlets assure the food is halal), and Vegetarian (outlets that are not halal certified or owned by a Muslim person, but claim to be pure vegetarian).

It is advisable to confirm your dietary requirements at your chosen restaurant. You’ll find your Kiwi hosts friendly and willing to help at every stage of your journey.

The halal food outlets included in this Halal guide have been taken directly from the Kiwi Muslim Directory as recommended to Tourism New Zealand by FIANZ. The information provided in this guide is verified at the time of listing and subject to change without notice.
