About
The Otorohanga Kiwi House & Native Bird Park has been dedicated to the breeding and conservation of rare and endangered New Zealand birds and reptiles for over 40 years. The not-for-profit Wildlife Park guarantees that visitors will always see Kiwi when they visit.
It also offers personalised evening "Kiwi Watch" tours allowing visitors to encounter New Zealand's iconic bird at close quarters. Bookings are essential and can made online at www.kiwihouse.org.nz.
New Zealand's unique Tuatara, which pre-dates the dinosaur, is only one of the unique reptiles on show.
The family-friendly Park is extensively planted with native plant species and features a massive domed aviary and specialised wetland areas. Open daily (except Christmas Day).
