How do I see the Travel Planner calendar and map? Travel Planner is best viewed with Macromedia Flash 7 or greater. Without Flash you will not be able to see your Travel Planner collection on a calendar or map. Install the free Flash Player to get the most out of Travel Planner. What browsers can I view Travel Planner on? Travel Planner is designed to support:
What can I get out of sending to a travel agent or airline? Sending to a travel agent or airline is optional. You do not need a Travel Planner to get help from a travel agent or airline. Travel agents can help you book accommodation, activities and flights to New Zealand. They can also arrange a rental car; book rail, bus or ferry tickets and provide flights within New Zealand. An airline can sell you flights to New Zealand but cannot provide other bookings. The airline won't receive your Travel Planner. If you haven't made a Travel Planner you can still contact a travel agent or airline for help. Just follow the simple steps to explain your requirements and they will contact you within 3 business days. You must agree to the Disclaimer of sending to a travel agent in order to use this service. How do I save my Travel Planner for future use? You must create a profile and be signed in to save your Travel Planner between sessions. If you are not signed in then your Travel Planner will be deleted as soon as you close the browser window. To create a profile click on the "sign up" button on the Travel Planner. How do I update my Travel Planner profile? You can update your Travel Planner profile from within Travel Planner. Look for the "> my profile" link on the left hand side. This will allow you to update your name, email address, country and password. Once sent, no updated information will be sent to a travel agent or airline unless you choose to contact the travel agent or airline again. What should I know about saving my password on this computer? If you choose to save your password on this computer then you will remain signed in until you click "sign out". You should not use this feature on an internet café or any other public computer. How do I share my Travel Planner with a friend? Select the "Email to a Friend" link in the Travel Planner. When you send your Travel Planner to a friend they will receive a link to a copy of your Travel Planner. You can choose whether they will see the notes you have included. Once sent, the copy of Travel Planner your friend receives will not be updated - if you make changes to your Travel Planner then you will need to email them a new copy. After 60 days the copy will expire. Your friend will no longer be able to see your Travel Planner on www.newzealand.com unless you select "Email to a Friend" again. What do the Transport route options offer? Travel Planner displays Transport Route options in the calendar view. Clicking on the "Transport from..." link in your calendar will display transport route options between two locations. www.newzealand.com endeavours to provide accurate route information but is unable to determine which companies service which routes or the timetables for these services. Routes for road transport, flights, rail and sea are for initial planning only. Transport operators should be contacted directly for more information and to confirm availability. How do I print the Travel Planner map? The Travel Planner maps can be printed directly from the browser. There is no special map printing function. A printable map of New Zealand can be found at: http://www.newzealand.com/travel/destinations/new-zealand-map/ Why can't I access my Travel Planner collection? The Travel Planner Flash application uses a method of storing information on your local computer to enhance your user experience and reduce server traffic. Occasionally these files may become confused or corrupted. If you delete these local files the Travel Planner will do a full reload from the server, which should fix the problem for you. The files are located at (on Windows 2000 / Window XP): C:\Documents and Settings\~username\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\~random foldername\newzealand.com There should be a list of files with the file suffix .sol , it is perfectly safe to delete all of them.
