The price of your trip includes the following: - Guide fees - Permit fees - Accommodation in our expedition-style Base Camp - All meals and snack foods whilst on the trip - Group equipment - Ground transport ex Wanaka or Queenstown - Department of Conservation concession fees (37125-GUI) - 15% New Zealand Goods and Services Tax
In order to confirm a guide and your trip, we require a completed Registration Form and a deposit of NZ$500. The balance of payment is then due 60 days prior to the start date. Please note that in order to reserve a guide we recommend that you book well in advance.
Our Wye Creek Weekend Wander is the perfect opportunity to escape into the rugged backcountry above Queenstown in a short weekend trip.
Snowshoeing up into the secluded Wye Creek valley, we feel small in comparison to the dramatic landscape that surrounds us. As we approach AC’s comfortable seasonal camp, we spot the dramatic frozen waterfalls cascading above, which are famed as New Zealand’s best ice climbing crags. It’s a beautiful area to explore before returning to a cosy camp and tasty evening meal. After a hearty breakfast, the following morning we hike back down the valley and return to the bright lights of Queenstown.
