A moderate level of fitness is required. Participants should be comfortable walking approximately 7 km over uneven volcanic terrain, including stairs, rocky surfaces and gradual climbs. The tour includes a guided return walk to the summit and visits to lava caves, where conditions permit. Suitable for guests aged 8 years and over. Sturdy closed-toe walking shoes are essential, along with weather-appropriate clothing and a water bottle. Return ferry tickets from downtown Auckland are included.
