In the heart of Whakatū Nelson, Nelson Provincial Museum Pupuri Taonga o Te Taiao is a place of discovery and connection.
Explore Te Tauihu through the people, places and moments that have shaped the top of the South Island, alongside stories that continue to unfold today. Begin downstairs in the Regional Gallery, where the social and natural history of Te Tauihu comes to life. Then head upstairs to the Upper Gallery for changing exhibitions designed to inspire, excite and surprise. Welcoming, accessible and family-friendly, the Museum offers something for everyone. Open seven days, except Good Friday and Christmas Day.
