Stay at The Farm, Whangaruru, a family-run 1000-acre working farmstay on the Northland coast between Russell Forest and Whangaruru Harbour. Choose a private cabin, ensuite room, dorm or campsite and share the relaxed community spaces, kitchens, hot showers, laundry and WIFI. Guests can book horse treks with our herd of more than 50 horses, riding across coastal farmland, through native bush and streams. Horse treks require at least two riders and 24 hours' notice. The Farm is also an official Te Araroa Trail stop and a base for yoga, kayaking, walking, family stays and hosted retreats.
