For direct bookings, cancellations made at least 48 hours before departure (1–4 guests) or 7 days before departure (5+ guests) receive a full refund. If your cruise ship cannot dock at Lyttelton, 75% of the amount paid will be refunded. If the ship docks but you miss or choose not to join the tour, standard cancellation/no-show terms apply. We will make reasonable efforts to adjust for ship or port delays. Agent and third-party booking terms may also apply.
This small-group experience combines breathtaking coastal landscapes, fascinating history, native wildlife, and the warm hospitality of a knowledgeable local guide. After a scenic drive through Sumner and a café stop overlooking the Pacific, continue to Taylors Mistake Beach to begin the walk. Follow a spectacular coastal loop past restored WWII gun emplacements and Scott’s Cabin, with sweeping views across Pegasus Bay, Lyttelton Harbour and the Southern Alps. Enjoy snacks and a gourmet picnic lunch along the way, while looking out for seals, dolphins and native birdlife. The walk covers around 9 km over approximately 3.5 hours on well-formed tracks. After the walk, relax on the scenic return journey to Lyttelton Port.
