Four double/twin rooms and a double room are complemented by a wood-fired pizza oven, open fire, fully equipped kitchen, bike workshop area, and a view that we will throw in for free. Gibbs' accommodation sits within the Wairoa Gorge - The Gorge Mountain Bike Park, but you do not have to be a mountain biker to enjoy what's on offer. The lodge is accessible only by hosted 4x4 or helicopter. It is off the grid but has WIFI, a full kitchen, and views over Golden Bay.
