Open to both road and trail runners, The Spectacle is a two-day running festival held each December in Nelson Tasman. Its diverse programme caters to all experience levels – from 5-10 km events for those starting out to headline races like the elite one-mile sprint and the gritty 100-mile trail run. Dubbed The Spectacle, the event's name reflects the founders’ vision: to bring the world’s best athletes to Nelson, offering locals a rare chance to see elite runners on the streets of Nelson.
