Minimum passenger numbers apply. Heliworks Queenstown reserves the right to upgrade passengers or merge flights for operational reasons or flight management purposes if required. Flights are weather dependent. Weather checks are to be made one hour before departure, and where appropriate, Heliworks Queenstown will offer alternative options. Occasionally flight paths or landing locations may alter at the pilot’s discretion.
Any cancellations made within 24 hours of departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If no notice is given and passengers ‘no-show’ for the flight, we will charge 100% of the fare. In the event of COVID-19 restrictions, we will reschedule bookings as needed. Cancellations made by Heliworks Queenstown do not incur any charges.
We begin in Queenstown, lifting off from our heli base and immediately soaring across the glistening waters of Lake Whakatipu. From there, the scenery begins to shift as we track past the rugged peaks of the Richardson Mountains and fly west toward the wild Fiordland coast. As we approach Milford Sound, the landscape becomes even more dramatic. Towering cliffs rise from the sea, ancient glaciers cling to mountain faces, and Mitre Peak stands tall in the distance. Seeing it all from the air offers a rare and unforgettable perspective of this world-famous fjord. After circling the fiord, we keep the adventure going by cruising over the lush Hollyford Valley. With thick native forest, alpine lakes and countless waterfalls.
