The Two Thumb Range and the Gamack Range lies well to the east of New Zealand's Main Divide. This means they enjoy a higher percentage of good weather than mountains further to the west. Private huts at 1300m - 1700m provide cosy, heated refuges during the snow season, July-September. The East Face of Aoraki/Mount Cook looms as you ascend ridges and peaks. For more advanced skiers try exploring New Zealand's glaciers in the company of our professional ski guides. Book early because these huts book up a year in advance.
