About

Go beyond the surf on a low-tide crossing to Hauturu, an island on the Pacific Coast of Hauraki Coromandel. These guided island journeys share and protect the area’s unique ecosystem, culture, and heritage by keeping visitors on track in a protected island environment. Highlights include Whangamatā Beach, a New Zealand favourite, sweeping views across the Coromandel Peninsula and Pacific Ocean, and island nature that feels a world away from everyday life. Every visit contributes to the future protection of the Whangamatā island ecosystem.
