No previous kayaking experience is required. This tour is suitable for first-time and experienced paddlers alike, with a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instruction provided before departure. Participants should be confident around water and have a moderate level of fitness. During the tour you will paddle for up to 1.5 hours at a time and complete a 7 km return walk to Rangitoto Summit over uneven volcanic terrain, including stairs and rocky surfaces.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before departure receive a refund less a 25% administration fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure, no-shows and missed departures are non-refundable. If Auckland Sea Kayaks cancels a tour due to unsafe weather or other operational reasons, guests will be offered the choice of a full refund or an alternative departure date, subject to availability.
