A cancellation by a guest up to 14 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival will result in no charge being made. If the reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled date of arrival a cancellation charge equivalent to the room(s) single night rate will be made. Should we cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Guests failing to arrive will be responsible for a charge equivalent to the total reservation price.
French Bay House is a beautiful historic villa in the heart of Akaroa. It is the most photographed house in the village due to the stunning gardens and its iconic architectural style. All of our rooms have comfortable king beds with ensuite bathrooms. Expect crisp white sheets, a heater, fan, Tivoli radio, organic toiletries and fresh white towels. Wake up to the welcoming smell of home baked bread and fresh coffee. The house is situated close to Beach Road where you will find a number of shops and restaurants along the water front and is within easy walking distance to the wharf where you can catch a number of different boats to see the dolphins and penguins which live in the harbour. The perfect spot for a relaxing stay.
