Bookings essential. Subject to availability and weather conditions. Flights require a minimum of 2 paying fares to proceed. Children under 2 years are free of charge, children aged 2-11 years are charged 75% of the adult fare provided at least 2 adults are travelling on the flight. Passengers 12 years and older pay the adult fare.
In the event that unsafe weather conditions or unscheduled maintenance cause the cancellation of your flight then you will be offered a refund or reschedule. This flight offers some of the best views of the region while exploring the Hauraki Gulf. Once in the air, there is the opportunity to spot marine wildlife in their natural habitat. The Hauraki Gulf is home to about 45 Bryde’s whales year-round, plus migrating whales and larger pods of dolphins. No two flight paths are the same on this experience as the route will vary to give you the best chance of having the opportunity to see these stunning creatures from a unique perspective. Our most common routes typically pass over areas to the east of Waiheke Island, the Coromandel Peninsula and the Treasure Islands, since these areas have deeper waters and are popular locations for whales to be seen. Flights require a minimum of 2 paying fares.
