About

Your visit to the beautiful Kapiti Coast starts with heading up Paekakariki Hill to take in the majestic vista of the Coast and top of the South Island. We then visit Queen Elizabeth Park to visit Camp McKay at Paekakariki where the US Marine Corps were based in World War 2 prior to heading up into the Pacific campaign. A visit to the Coast is not complete without visiting Southwards Car Museum which is one of the largest private motor vehicle collections in the Southern Hemisphere. After visiting Southwards we visit a local iconic café for lunch before visiting the Nga Manu Nature Reserve in Waikanae. Here we can view Tuataras up close and see a wide variety of native birds. We finish our day with visiting a local craft brewery or café.
