mountainhut.nz offers day (2-5hrs) and overnight heli mountain-bike trips. Heli into Whakaari conservation area, and enjoy the exhilaration of the descent through tussock country, with epic views, bike past scheelite relics and miners' huts of old. Take a guide for easy interpretation or head out unguided. Trips are bespoke, we recommend 4-5 persons in a group. Bike hire is available through us. Our season runs from 1st November to the 31st of May, Spring to Autumn. Contact us to organize your trip plan and price. Options include an overnight stay at our unique mountain hut at Mt Larkins or a Hike and Bike. Track grades are 2-4.
